Polyester DTY Yarn
When polyester POY is twisted and drawn at the same time, a draw textured yarn (DTY) yarn is obtained. DTY yarns are mainly used as part of woven and knitted fabrics to make clothing, home decorations, seat covers, bags and many different things. DTY yarns can be semi-matt or glossy or trilobal glossy, depending on the type of filament area.
DTY Yarn Used
Intermingle thread, which is produced in three types( simple, intermingle (knotted) and comingle), is used in sofa fabric, curtain, shirt, linen, suit, worsted, carpet cover and prayers carpet, machine woven carpets pile and industrial usages. DTY is suitable for fabric end uses like outer/inner garments, skin-clinging garments, furnishings, upholstery, etc.
DTY Yarn Properties
Draw Texturised Yarn (DTY) is a fully drawn, fully oriented polyester multifilament yarn with soft crimp, high bulk and texture with cotton feel and very high durability and retention properties. This is manufactured by texturising partially oriented yarn using texturising machines.
DTY Yarn characteristic
Polyester DTY yarns can also be obtained in various colors by dope dyeing techniques or conventional dyeing. Solution dyed DTY is usually packaged on paper tubes, while Raw White DTY for dyeing is loosely packaged in perforated plastic tubes so that all yarns can be easily dyed when the tube is soaked. DTY is mainly produced in large quantities in India, Indonesia and Malaysia and exported around the world.
